Conditions of entry to the Slovenian stud book of Lipizzaners

To be eligible to be registered in the Stud Book of Slovenian Lipizzaners-SSBL the following qualifications must be met:

• The horse must be able to prove satisfactorily that all genealogical conditions agreed internationally and defined in LIF statutes, Article 6 Par.2 Appendix I are met.
  
• The identity of the horse must be established,
  
• The horse must be product of a mating between a sire and dam both of which are registered in SSBL or
  
• The horse must be product of a mating between a sire and a dam both of which are registered in Stud Book of another country, approved by LIF.
  
• The horse must fulfil all of the requirements of Rules and Requirements of the SSBL and Regulations of breeding animal's registration that is in force in the Republic of Slovenia.

Identity:
Before any Stallion or Mare can be registered in the SSBL as breeding stock the animal's identity must be established.
The SSBL is entitled to control the
the origin of the animal,
the colour and markings of the animal,
the pedigree of the animal
conformation and performance ability of the horse

Naming:
The SSBL registers names fully in accordance with the traditional name giving sister in accordance to the provisions of the instructions for naming that are included to Rules and Requirements of the SSBL. Colts are named with the name of sire's bloodline followed by full dam's name, and fillies are named with their dam's name with roman number indicating the inscription of the fillies of the same name in the foal register. On the request of the breeder, fillies may be named with another name which must be traditionally used for the mare family the dam belongs to.

Branding:
The Breeding committee of SSBLA performs branding in accordance to the provisions of the instructions for branding that are included to Rules and Requirements of the Slovenian Stud Book of Lipizzaners.

OUR BREEDIN ACHIEVEMENTS

International LIF breeding show-Topolchanka 2002

In 2002 the international breeding show took place in Topolchanka town (Slovakia). There was also a sire from our stud, elite stallion 54 Siglavy Gaeta II. The stallion was the winner ins the highest category- the sires, became international champion and first sire of private breed in Slovenia.
